What are composite/multi level classes?

 

At Albany Primary School we currently organise classes into mixed levels for the Year 3 / 4 and 5 / 6 classes.  The following information will provide you with how the New Zealand education system teaches ‘stages not ages’

What happens if my child is sick/going away and can't come to school?

Please telephone the school office on 415 9668 before 9.00am and leave a message on the absence line.  If it is easier for you to email, contact .

If your child will be absent from school for a number of days please provide a detailed email or note listing the days absent and reason for absence.  Please note that if your child is going to be absent (or overseas) from school for more than 20 days then the Principal needs to give her formal permission for this.

What do I need to do if my child is late to school?

Please get your child to report to the school office on their arrival so that we can note them as late on the school electronic attendance register.

I need to collect my child early from school what do I need to do?

You will need to sign your child out at the school office before collecting them from class.

We have changed address/telephone number who do I need to advise?

Please let the office know as soon as possible, either by advising at the front reception counter, telephoning 415 9668 or emailing
